02What this policy covers

This policy covers this website only. Our applications are covered by their own privacy policies, because each one processes different data for different purposes. Where an application is published, its policy is linked from its App Store or Google Play listing and from within the application itself.

Installing or using one of our applications is governed by that application's privacy policy, not by this page. Reading this page does not tell you what an individual application does with your data.

03What we collect on this website

This website is a set of static pages. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run contact forms, and we do not embed analytics, advertising, social media or tracking scripts. All fonts, images and styles are served from this domain, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to any third party.

We do not collect personal data directly through this website. Our hosting provider processes standard technical connection data — including your IP address, the pages requested, timestamps and your browser's user-agent string — in order to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse and attack. This is ordinary server-log processing and we do not use it to identify or profile individual visitors.

04Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies. Because we set none, there is no consent banner to click through.

Your choice of light or dark appearance is stored in your browser's local storage. That value never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

05If you email us

When you write to support@kardunas.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include in it. We use this to answer you and to keep a record of the matter while it is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can handle any follow-up.

Please do not send passwords, payment card details or other sensitive information by email. We will never ask you for them.

06Legal basis

Under the UK GDPR we rely on the following bases:

  • Legitimate interests — for the server-log processing needed to run this website securely and reliably, and for responding to enquiries sent to us. Our interest is in operating a functioning, secure website and answering the people who contact us; we consider this proportionate because the data involved is minimal and is not used to profile anyone.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or disclose information by law.

07How long we keep data

  • Server logs — retained by our hosting provider for the period set out in their standard service configuration, and used only for delivery and security.
  • Email correspondence — kept while your enquiry is open and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle any follow-up, then deleted.

We do not keep personal data for longer than we need it for the purpose we collected it.

08International transfers

Our hosting and email providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the appropriate safeguards permitted under the UK GDPR — an adequacy decision covering the receiving country, or contractual protections such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

09Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data erased in certain circumstances
  • restrict or object to how we process your data
  • receive your data in a portable format where that right applies

To exercise any of these, email support@kardunas.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else. Exercising your rights is free, and we will respond within one month.

10Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website or our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced individually.
